Internal mobil rack

I will install the following mobil rack very soon. If I want to use its' hotswap function, is it necessary to format the harddisk to "dynamic" format?  Or, I just format the harddisk as usual?  If so, how can I make it "offline" and change to other harddisk?    Thx!

use the hdd that support ahci then can support the hot swap...

hotswap not need to offline.....

So, do you mean that I can put it out without offline it?  If so, how can I ensure no data lost?

yes, but you hv to ensure no data hv been  transfer at that moment.....

so it is better used for raid 5....not for a single hdd

hot-swap means you can plug in or off a HD without turning off the pc.
It is highly recommended to use the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon at the right-bottom on screen.

Ah!  That is what I concern.  Would you please tell me how to have such "icon"?

When you plug in a hot-plug device, the icon will appear automatically at the right bottom corner.
