It seems that you guys are still experiencing difficulties buying VDR in HK... perhaps you should try and get them from overseas website.

I am not sure what "A-Shop" you guys are on about... but perhaps you could suggest to the owner of the shop to stock a steady level of VDRs?

I would recommend 60J or above, and you could connect two VDR together across the input to futher stabilise the voltage spike.
