Just a quick update on my situation...it seems to me the IDE HD needs to be set as "Master" in order for it to work with the Y-1032 adaptor.  The Seagate IDE HD I tried two days ago were all in "Slave" and they didn't work.  Now I put the jumper in "Master" setting, they work fine with the adaptor.

I will try to do some benchmark test with this IDE to SATA adaptor.  So far, the Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 IDE HD's speed is fine.

好似所有呢類IDE -> SATA 都係要 SET去 Master 的~~

是的, 所有ATA HD都要設定到master 才用到這類的adaptor

先回覆A Sir一下,
剛從Unitek代理回來, 負責人很nice, 很快便換了新品給我, 回來後便簡單的測試了Y-3020,
測試使用Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H底板及原有USB3.0 port (Win7 64bit), 使用V1.0.20.0 driver, 日立硬碟2T HD, 硬碟一半滿,
1 ) 寫入一個20G檔案, 速度平均在47-51MB左右, 而寫入一個2G檔案, 平均速度在57-59MB, 相反如果抄入一堆散亂的檔案例如6個總共2-3G的檔案, 速度可以上到88-90MB, 甚至更高, 而且是一開始便可以到達這個速度, 實際情形應該會受到本來檔案所在的硬碟位置和讀取情況影響。

以上是不負責任的測試。

最後要批評的是Y-3020的插座可能是為了兼容Y-1032 adaptor之的東西, 所以前後左右預留了一定的虛位, 但是會造成了普通HD插了下去後有可能前後擺動而產生接觸不良, 因而會出現driver突然不見了的情況, 而和我手上的另一個Century USB2.0 Docking相比, Century的插座會比較緊密, 插了HD下去後不容易產生前後擺動的情況, 希望Unitek以後的產品可以改進這種情況。

死LAW, 我部Y-3020要我星期六才有時間去試, 不知會不會出現CHING的問題, 硬碟如果插唔實, 讀寫中鬆出來....不知會不會影響到裡面的資料.....

試了driver v1.0.19.0, 結果一樣失敗, 估計應該是Jmicron chip的質量問題, 上不了3.0的速度, ...

ching, 是否已uninstall新driver, 先再裝 v1.0.19.0 ?
