Hi all,

I recently get hold of my Lenovo MIIX310-ICR10 Atom CPU 4GB RAM 64GB ROM.

Trying to update from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and Linux
but failed due to its screen orientation and mess up issue.

Next thing try using microHDMI to HDMI to screen and see if it helps.

Then will see which lightweight Linux is good for it.
With touchscreen I can write Chinese on it.

I recommend trying Lubuntu. It is a lightweight Linux distribution designed to run on older or less powerful computers. It is based on Ubuntu, a popular and well-supported Linux distribution. Lubuntu is also very easy to use, so it should be a good choice for you. Lubuntu uses the LXQt desktop environment, which is lightweight and fast. It also comes with a variety of pre-installed apps, including web browsers, email clients, office suites, and media players. If you are looking for a lightweight and easy-to-use Linux distribution, I definitely recommend trying Lubuntu.

If you're having trouble updating to Windows 11 on your Lenovo MIIX310-ICR10, it may be due to the device not meeting the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Before proceeding with installing any operating system, it is important to ensure that your device is compatible with the system requirements of the operating system you plan to install. For Windows 11, Microsoft sets certain minimum hardware requirements, and not all devices are compatible. Regarding the screen orientation issue, you can try to calibrate the screen orientation in the display settings of the current Windows 10 installation. If that doesn't work, you can try updating your device's graphics driver and see if that fixes the problem. For lightweight Linux distributions, you can consider the following options: Lubuntu - A lightweight version of Ubuntu designed to run on low-end hardware. It is important to note that the performance of your device depends on a variety of factors, including hardware specifications and the software applications you use. For Lenovo MIIX310 devices, I recommend the following lightweight Linux distribution: Lubuntu: Another Ubuntu-based distribution that uses a very lightweight LXDE desktop. It will also have good driver support. The key things I would consider are: lightweight desktop environments (Xfce, LXDE, etc.) Driver support - Ubuntu/Debian-based distributions tend to be best suited for Lenovo hardware. Stability – Avoid very leading or niche distributions. Easy to use - suitable for beginners. Here are more details of my recommended distro: Lubuntu: Use the LXDE desktop. Also based on Ubuntu, so similar driver support. Very simple and straightforward interface that prioritizes efficiency. Still includes the Ubuntu Software Center and the familiar Ubuntu experience.

Windows 11 can be install... by other way.
the Windows 11 install screen orientation and issue is before booting into GUI

I think I would try install dual Windows 11 and Lubuntu anyway...
48GB Windows and 24GB Linux... see what happens...

best of both worlds...

一般情況下安裝軟體包應該用YAY還是pacman?

有用過EndeavourOS,安裝/刪除軟體包速度較Ubuntu類的快,如果沒有Arch版的,可將源代碼立即編譯,相當方便。
