NAS = Network Access Server, 一般都有Samba; NFS; FTP等等。
用SAMBA vs NAS比較根本兩樣唔同東西，一個係軟件，一個係硬件。如要比較SAMBA和NFS會合理啲！

我想問問，如果用samba做pdc同nas又有join ad的功能，nas可吾可以join去samba上呀?

Samba is just a Window$ protocol... NAS might support the same protocol.....
And if you use  a PC to run Linux, the Linux could do more than samba....

  the SMB protocol should have been existed before Windows 3.0 (In my opinion Windows before version 3.0 is a totally different "product" with the same label ), its just that Windows for Workgroup really start making SMB popular (and thus people starting writing clone like Samba).

I still remember installing the 2 floppies Microsoft LAN Manager in DOS (The second disk is just a bunch of TSR drivers for different network cards if I remembered correctly), using NE2000 cards and BNC cables

你錯唔晒，但係電腦嚟講 NAS 一般代表 Network Attached Storage 多過代表 Network access server



再者，樓主用 Samba 同 NAS (Network Attached Storage) 比已經唔係好洽當 (樓上多位師兄已有提及)，如果用 Samba 同 NAS (Network access server) 比更加係牛頭唔搭馬咀。
不過我同意樓主可能係想比較 SAMBA 和 NFS。

Since this thread is talking about Samba, so we assume that NAS is about storage,thus Network Attached Storage.

NAS 係可以解Network Access Server , 但你句 "NAS = Network Access Server, 一般都有Samba; NFS; FTP等等" 後半截的的例子就錯了.
