I braked to about 20km from around 100 when I hit it.  It jumped away after impact!

I found no blood on the bumper of the rental Nissan X-trail. Maybe it's still alive (I hope!)

There are a lot of suicidal kangaroos in Australia.  If you look carefully you will find them sitting near the highways.  Sometimes they just jump out in front of your car.  I think it is a game or challenge they enjoy!
