I have 3 PC/laptop of different brands, Using MCT, Acer and Lenovo were ok, HP failed.  I think it also depends on its hardware configuration.

    yes the update or installation program will check hw config in depth to see if any hw is not compliance or compatible to latest version. However, sometimes the hw signature is not match or using fake or wrong id as in the db which would lead to problem or crash arose.
