And as long as it's out of the blister package, expect this to happen sooner than you think

Having said that, QC should be better than on previous G3
G3's end covers can get very loose after progressive use
Also LED indicator may be very very dim (depending on batch), sometimes it's as good as NONE
G4 meanwhile has no status indicator and no protection on (type A) connector, so plastic cap is required (available at 298)

Also G4 can achieve a slighter faster card read speed than with G3
eg. SD card certified for r95 may only achieve r87-88 on G3 but r93-94 on G4

G3 & G4 are really no good. Both can't read micro SD with adopter in SD slot

Yes you're right, just rechecked both G3 and G4 and large slot is indeed no good on mSD w/adapter
This is however the case with some other single-slot readers as well
