DMR-BW880.

This thing is capable of eating live TV programs into its internal 500GHDD, in native 1080i or in lower resolution with compression.  I use Windows 7/8 to pull out the recorded shows in ts files through dlna back into my PC for editing.  All channels and subtitles are intact.  

But I have not seen it available in HK chain stores for a long time.

我果部mtv3000,都係08奧運時買，啱啱3個月前先壞，換咗3200。當然年1800買，用咗8年，平均2xx一年，電子野真係算奇蹟。

今時今日想正正常常搵部錄影機都難, 仲要可以拎出嚟電腦 edit就難上加難

    I do have to agree they did a good job on the UI design, their design is very intuitive to many HKers. (I personally thinks it can get better, but no complains from family senior members)

    lots, not all shows are replay-able on web, especially some old reply shows.

My MagicTV 3000's 搖控 melt 3 years ago, literally, after it was shelved unused for months.
The sticky rubber coat glued it to everything it touched. It was disgusting.
