Using a Brennenstuhl PM230 meter I measured MTV3800D recording to its internal HDD takes a little less than 20W.

MTV3000 did consume more power because its CPU was generations older.

I've a asustor 202TE of which the power consumption is about 19.7W (operation).  So the 3800D is more or less the same as my nas

MagicTV o係我黎講最重要一個功能，係其它牌子取代唔到，就係內置剪片功能，因為部機係買黎俾屋企老人家睇電視用，但佢經常要去阿哥屋企揍孫睇唔到電視劇，所以就錄起等佢得閒時睇，我會將所有節目剪走晒廣告，等佢可以舒舒服服一氣呵成咁睇。
