8000D is still the mainstream general model with HDD and analogue input etc.
9x00D is more like a ne ...

Lower-end chipsets and chassis design mean you have a cheaper but less reliable model...

Already the current models have been criticised for having poor DTT reception
So by this logic, cheaper models would suffer even more due to any chipset/tuner downgrades...!??

Oh BTW, the 8000D is a vast improvement to the 7000D when it comes to analogue input
At least the 8000D has shorter lag times as well as ability to lock to any VCR blue screens properly (which the 7000D/mini can't)

I'm using 3800D (quite stable for the time being). And similarly, I don't need high-end model. It seems there is no more 3xxx series

其實用落9100大半年都算ok
係開頭要連接埋房部3200先成日hang機
而家大家無連接未hang過

就係唔想，其實朋友問我介紹，我同佢講magictv ，佢話好貴，才發現官網而家得返啲「貴款」 ...

我反而特登買二手，仲記得大約2012年因為部3000內置散熱風扇愈用愈嘈，換極都回復唔到以往咁靜，而需要買過另一部，但當時全新Magic TV入門型號都要千三有多，覺得有d戇居，其實係覺得唔值，因為當時已經全港都賣緊iDTV，如果換電視的話，機頂盒就即時變成電子垃圾(同廿幾年前買既麗音接收器一樣，因後來新型號電視內置NICAM功能而變成垃圾，我十幾年前都掉左部)，最後用＄450買部二手3600D，貪佢已經係fanless型號，冇風扇自然唔會嘈，dual tuner可以睇A頻率電視台錄B頻率節目，又內置500GB HDD錄影，一直開心使用到先母上天堂。
