我在旺電買，$3198，加到2Gb ram，就$3298。
想請教各位，請問這部機能否剷去win 7 starter，裝XP？我試過裝，一load隻碟就藍畫面，很驚嚇……會否內裡set了甚麼，不能downgrade to XP?

先更新 BIOS 到版本 901，在 Advanced 那頁改 SATA 為 IDE，便可安裝 Windows XP，請參考樓主 7#。

GigaLan Speed Test

1015PEM had two test run:

First Test is very disappoint to have 12-15MB/s in the latest TeraCopy 2.x

Test Machine: Gigabyte 965P-DS3 V.3.3 MB
Marvell onboard LAN
HDD: Hitachi 7K1000B series 500G
OS: Win XP (965P-DS3), Windows 7 Starter (1015PEM)

Test Environment
both Tx/Rx Buffer is set to maximum
Direct connection with AMP CAT6 cable with 9K Jumbo Frame
Anti-virus & Firewall disable
Test File: >3G DVD ISO

Second Test is much fast to have more than >2xMB/s in TeraCopy 2.x

Test Machine: Gigabyte P35-DS3R V.1.0 MB
Realtek onboard LAN
HDD: WD RE3 500G
OS: Win XP (P35-DS3R), Windows 7 Starter (1015PEM)

Test Environment
both Tx/Rx Buffer is set to maximum
P35-DS3R is connected with AMP CAT6 cable & 1015PEM is connected by CAT5 cable to the previous generation D-link 5-port with 4K Jumbo Frame capability switch (RealTek maximum support 4K Jumbo Frame)
Anti-virus & Firewall disable
Test File: >8G Windows backup file

到底是否我買的這部機有問題？還是佢本身有d乜野lock死左，唔比我裝XP???

哪部份出藍畫面？安裝 CD 見 "歡迎安裝 Windows XP"、在 copy files 0 - 100% 時、還是第一次 restart 時？

XP 安裝 CD 是 oem 版還是無須啟動版？

如果你用 USB CDROM 安裝，試接在左邊的 USB port (不是藍色 USB 3.0)。

由於空間不足Primary 1, 2 ,3巳全部用gparted改動過

Primary Partition 1 (Windows 7 System Partition)由100G 降→80G
Primary Partition 2 (Express Gate Partition)巳移前20G [經改動完partition 都能正常boot機 ]
Primary Partition 3 巳delete，改成為Logical Parttion (54G – NTFS DATA Partition, 15G – Ubuntu 10.04 i386, 256M – Fedora /boot Partition, 15G – Fedora /root, 52G – Linux Data Partition)
Primary Partition 4 (EFI)，這個系統partition不敢動以免F9 recovery和Express Gate 出問題。

改動後的Partition


改動partition可導致不能boot機、破壞Windows 7和DATA掉失，請先備份，本人不負任何損失責任。

Good Point：
- WM: 測試使用Gnome 2.32
用USB-DVD安裝速度不錯 （約1小時就安裝好，由於沒去計時準確時間不知道）
- iBUS倉頡輸入法在Ubuntu 10.10見識過打乜字差不多都沒有，轉用SCIM一點也沒問題
- 有11級Brightness 設定(0%-100%)
- 內置color profiles (color management)，可以調較LCD Monitor顏色，效正後的色彩比起Ubuntu 10.04、10.10有更好效果。效果跟Windows 7 Color Tuning差一點。詳細介紹請參閱http://www.hkepc.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1542253



- Gnome 2.32係mouse setting可以取消輕按touchpad的，untick "Enable mouse clicks with touchpad"，這樣可以避免打字時手掌誤按mouse click。



Bad Point:
- 機身右方兩個USB 3.0沒有driver
- 無Boardcom Wireless Driver
- Firefox中hkepc forum icon會出現閃動。
