Day 3 of our trip.
Staring from a sun rise of Las Vegas
Real lava rock on ground of outside the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory, its Cactus Garden
Off to find some nuts & bolt ..
Hoover Dam
The base of Hoover Dam is 660ft (two US football field) thick.
Run to Flagstaff and just see the Lowell observatory at night. Here (named "The World's 100 Most Important Places" by TIME) is where Pluto was 'found'
Next day, from Flagstuff, a short drive to Walnut Canyon where Sinagua (Sin - without, agua - water) ppl once dwell. We walked the island trail
They farm, trade and hurt. I can see its a very good place to be.
Because there is plenty of firewood (not so in rest of Arizona) to keep warm and they are smart to get water without the river. But out of sudden, they left their home without a trace...
Drove hard and GPS sent us to the East entrance of Grand Canyon.... (was planned to relax at holiday turn out its a sunset photo-op)
Desert view point
They have a few poster there... but I didn't go over to look at. I didn't take the whole tour (of power plant), just the visitor center (really small... most of info I can read from my local library...)
