should be set in the M/B's BIOS. eg. BOOT FROM ADD-ON Controller

SATA card with VIA chip won't boot because of the dummy BIOS chip. And it even hangs if you use UniFlash to flash that chip.

I'd recommend using SATA card with Silicon Image chip.
