有關 xfi titanium 在 foobar 上設定 resampler 的問題

suppose 現有一個 sample rate 係 44.1khz 既 source
在 foobar 上用 asio driver
想最後在 sound card 上用 96khz 出

driver 有一個功能叫 Bit-Matched Playback
ENABLE
硬體不會作出任何 resample 動作 (input sample rate = sample output rate)
DISABLE
input sample rate 會自動硬體 upsample/downsample 去所指定既 output sampe rate

宜家有 3 個 combination (driver 既 output sample rate 都係設定成 96khz):

1. 在 foobar 上用 srs/ssrs/pphs resample 去 96 khz,, ENABLE Bit-Matched Playback
(44.1 --- software src ---> 96 --- Bit-Matched --->96)

2. 在 foobar 上不用任何 resampler (input sr = 44.1khz),  DISABLE Bit-Matched Playback
(44.1 --- hardware src ---> 96)

3. 在 foobar 上用 srs/ssrs/pphs resample 去 96 khz,, DISABLE Bit-Matched Playback
(44.1 --- sodtware src --->96 --- bypass/hardware src? --->96)

以上 3 個選擇, 邊個效果會係最好 ?

其實要用srs/ssrs/pphs resample,
set 48khz就ok,
再上無咩意思.

聽吾出有分別就吾開resample

音源不是96khz,你set 96khz resample無咩意思....

upsample 唔係冇意思的
hi-end 既 amp 都有 upsample 功能

upsample 會在原 signal 中插入更多 signal
所以 upsample 左既音訊會多左一 d 原本冇既野
雖然, 多左 野 = 唔係原音質
但係, 唔係原音質唔等於會比原音質差
肯定既係 upsample 後仍保留了原本既資訊

我覺得 resample 後既音訊既好壞取決於個 algor
resample 做得好既話, 會適當加插取樣資料
雖然同原本已經唔同左, 但係有可能令音樂更好聽

只知道 EMU20K1 在 44.1 -> 48,
hardware src 比不上 software src...

用cplay就可以用佢既software  resample
foobar就算數
soundcard.....Lynn果d hardware upsample先係非常好
其他就唔清楚

it depends on the source file(s) quality(recording, mixing, mastering etc).
if the source is no good, then upsampling become...

mp3, wav, cd are usually 44.1khz
