HTC Magic in stock now at Smartone Vodafone

Today Smartone Vodafone confirmed that they have plenty of stock of the HTC Magic.

They have Black and White models in stock.

I have initially ordered the Black colour model because to me white is a sissy colour.  I personally call it the "faggot" colour.   However, I have been noticing that since the iPhone 3G craze white has been used by alot of guys in Hong Kong and hence it is more and more in demand.

Just wanted to know what you guys think of the 2 colours for the HTC Magic.

Black colour - looks nice and slick.  It looks rich due to the black and redish finish on the sides.  The buttons are also silver in colour.    The phone will look even more classy with Invisible shield.    More shine.

White colour - apart for the sissy colour, the entire phone is white (even the buttons) but edges are silver in colour which is not bad.  White can get dirty and also any scratches after the phone is dropped can be noticed easily.  So invisible shield is highly recommended.   However after a while the back of the phone will start to get yellowish in colour if you apply Invisible shield.   This is due to the sweat and wear and tear.

What are your thoughts?   Which colour will you guys get?

Yes, with summer coming up.  People will be sweating more hence the back of the phone will get dirty easily.   

I have some some guys with phone phones and when the phone gets scratches, it looks horrible.  Just image a white phone with black edges.

Went to Smartone to pickup my Black Magic!!!  Lol!  Get the joke?  

The phone is nice and comfortable to hold and use.  The interface seems more smooth and slightly improved in features.   

The black looks very nice.   I was at the store and 3 other guys got the black colour also.  There were 2 girls and of course they got the white one since the white one suits the girls more.

The black model comes with a black case while the white model comes with a white case.

I got a screen protector for my phone already from capedase.  I had to use the Google G1 screen protector since the Magic model has not yet released.  The screen size is the same.  I also gave my phone to install the iMask.  I will go to the shop to pick up my phone in 30 mins.

yes I know.  That was the case with the iPHone 3G too.

However, if you install the invisible shield it will be slightly better.

I rather have finger prints, which can be wiped away, than have to worry if the white phone gets dirty or the scratches are visible.

Just image a pure white phone and once it is dropped then black or brown scratches are on the edges or on a major part of the phone.  That would suck royally.

I have noticed that in Hong Kong white is more popular.  I can understand preferring the white colour models more but it is surprising to see the number of guys getting white models.  White colour models since the last few years have been marketed for the female market.  It only got out of hand since the iPhone 3G release.   

Companies always have released white phones and black phones togther in the past.   Nokia, Sony Ericsson have done this for many models.  One for the female market and one for the male market.     I guess end users make up their own decision once the products are in the market.

Generally both are nice in their own way.
