[操作疑難] external harddisk can't be recognised after plugging in X101 meego

I wanted to use my 2.5" external harddisk originally used with windows wtih the X101 with meego .  Now the external harddisk can't be recognised by Windows pc (I have tried xp, vista and win7).  What can I do - the harddisk has important data.  Thanks!

Important data should have 2 or more backup copies.

very difficult - X101 only have two usb- one usb port at left of x101, the other one at right. X101 USB do not have USB+ capability.
