Anandtech 網主 獲 AMD-ATI 邀請同　設計 / 開發 RV770 (Radeon HD4800 series)　既 Engineers 做訪問  , 圖就無乜 不過 講翻 RV770 既來由  (間接令 ATI "鹹魚翻生" XD)

唔睇都唔知背後個故事係咁得意~
好佩服ATI呢幾位仁兄, 好有遠見, 仲要咁夠薑幾年前就已經決定用細核心同spec都未有既GDDR5~

呢個故事可以用黎做example教business strategy~

RV580 到 R600 之後 都係挨緊打 ( R600 重要 DELAY .....呢下先死)
不過 估唔到 AMD-ATI PR 竟然比 Anandtech 網主訪問班 "幕後 " Engineers / Project Manager
通常呢d 野 大多數公司會當做商業秘密 唔會公開的

R600 => HD2xxx series (DELAYED + not impressive)
HD38xx series wasn't bad ( OK 啦 , 我用過 HD3870, 效能 OK , 不過設計上 可惜在 一開 AA/AF 就效能出事 )
HD48xx series (RV770) 直頭係 Surprised

之前未出 我放走 HD3870 個陣都有 人傳話 HD4800 系 效能應該幾好睇 同  夠 當時既 8800GT(G92) 打
點知 有驚喜

亦都好在多得 文中提到既 有見地既 Technical Marketing , 臨 Tape out 前 叫停唔好出 256MB  , 規格改做 512MB 同推快d GPU / Memory 先正式賣街  , 班 Engineers 同其他管理層好在又肯聽 位 "新丁" (話佢入職唔耐) 解釋
真係好難得 , 如 HD4850 得 256MB + 慢d 速度 GPU/Memory  , 應該唔夠 G92 既8800GT 打了

Good market approach, good market insight and also their professionalism towards RV770 is highly appreciated even tho they didn't get the halo because of the delay of RV600... People I know they were upset at that moment but they get over it and produce a good RV770. Those engineers really worked hard! 3 years didn't waste init?

Well thanks of their work la engineer.. Waiting for your 4TFLOPS in 2012 ar!
