Many ports connecting to Akamai after bootup?

Hi

When my computer first booted up, it was seen (using netstat -an) that there were over 90 ports (on my PC) connecting to three related Akamai IP addresses (port 80), with the status TIME_WAIT.

No web browser was started.

ZoneAlarm firewall and Avast antivirus were running.

Is there any cause for concern? Could Akamai be scanning my computer? Was Akamai somehow used by the ISP for caching or similar purposes? Why so many ports engaged?

Akamai download manager 通常係某些網站(e.g. Adobe, ASUS) download software/driver 個陣要求你裝既. 而 Akamai NetSession Client 就通常係跟住一般應用軟件一齊裝, 佢係有upload/outbound transmit  功能既.

Akamai 本身係一間提供 cloud services, security solution 既公司, 最常見係佢發表一D網路狀態分析, 例如全球各地區網速報告之類. 唔肯定佢會唔會收集資料, 唔放心既話就試下uninstall 同佢有關既software.
