[外置硬碟] 冇知一問，問usb external 2.5 hdd, 要唔要另外插電？

Some older 2.5" enclosures do have a separate DC-in jack for more power, but these days it's almost non-existent, as USB3 should give enough bus power

For modern USB3 HDD enclosures, if you need more stable power during operation, a Y-cable should suffice
Just make sure the HDD/enclosure uses USB3 micro-b port, as the Y-cable concerned is only compatible with said port at the HDD side

一個 usb 2.0 port 唔夠電力推，如果 notebook 有 2 個 usb 2.0 port 就買條 usb Y cable 用 2 個 usb 2.0 port 的電去推啦，又或者 usb Y cable 一頭駁去 usb charger。
