模擬電視廣播月底終止 5.8萬戶仍未換機

【本報訊】本港的模擬電視廣播將於本月底終止，商務及經濟發展局昨日表示，截至10月，全港只有約5.8萬戶仍未轉看數碼電視，當中有約10%家庭表示面對經濟困難，無力購買新器材。當局呼籲相關住戶立刻加裝數碼電視機頂盒或轉用數碼電視機，否則今年12月1日全面實施數碼電視廣播後，將無法收看本地免費電視節目，並提醒有需要住戶可申請「關愛基金數碼電視援助計劃」。

商經局表示，截至今年10月，全港95%家庭已收看數碼電視，只有約2.2%住戶仍然使用模擬電視，當中只有少於10%住戶表示因經濟原因而尚未轉看數碼電視。當局指，有需要住戶可申請「關愛基金數碼電視援助計劃」，計劃至今已收到近兩萬宗申請，當中超過1.6萬戶已獲安排安裝數碼電視接收器材。

合資格的申請人可選擇安裝數碼機頂盒、24吋數碼電視機或32吋數碼電視機其中一款數碼電視接收器材。電器承辦商會在收到申請後8周內，安排「一站式」送貨、安裝和回收舊模擬電視機服務。

電視唔同手提電話有得check到用戶用緊咩手機型號，
屋企用緊咩型號嘅電視，政府根本無從得之，又如何知仲用緊模擬。
又係周星馳嘅"段古武申府"？

其實呢5.8萬人就係以前用黎調查模擬電視收視個班人囉, 因爲有好多bonus同coupons所以唔肯轉數碼,  定係技術原因未去轉數碼啊?

所以個數字就準確到你唔信囉

Here's my case: my household has DTVs in the living room but my own bedroom still runs on old analog TV
However, that TV is connected to a VCR and DVR for on-demand video transfer work, and has the necessary video and S-Video inputs, so it is impossible to replace that TV with a new DTV with nothing but HDMI ports...

That said, the TV concerned still has a set of Component inputs, which I can use to connect a DTT STB (eg. MTV model with Component output).  The problem now is getting a spare (older) MTV unit with Component output, which unfortunately has run into some family red tape......

Now this.  For those who are still stuck with analog TVs for whatever reason, the best way is to get an STB like MTV...
Unfortunately, recent MTV models have omitted all analog outputs and even Component outputs so they cannot be connected directly to such older TVs which are otherwise still working properly

So you see, apart from just having the old TV replaced, equipping such old hardware with a working STB is another viable option, also provides an easy way to timeshift/record TV programs from free DTT stations......

Problem is that, in the case of PM (MTV) they're constantly making new STB hardware that are not compatible with the older TVs in question, just because PM does not equip the right output terminals for such cause, often citing "progress" and "technology"....  So shame on PM!!

    I haven't seen S-Video on many LCD TV (except some old LCD TV),  without S-video we can't get better video quality in the 1990s.  

    VCR was popular with G-Code ( Who remembered this? ), sometimes I was sighing with something old but still in my living room/utility room. Time is flying.
