1) I prefer nVidia to AMD.  However, someone on the net reported that HD3200 that comes with 780G works fine on Ubuntu 8.04 or later restricted driver;

2) I prefer Ubuntu to gOS.  gOS is remastered from Ubuntu and it is not matured enough when I test it as at Version 2;

3) Ubuntu needs about 512MB RAM to run smoothly.  In general speaking, Ubuntu 8.10 is faster than Windows Vista in the same amount of memory;

In my remastered Lambda, the only different in packages between i386 and AMD64 is Java packages only. The i386 use official Sun Java 1.6 while AMD64 use IceTea open source Java.

You can try both in Live DVD for the difference.

1. 基本上如果你需要在UBUNTU下玩3D遊戲，於現階段來講，NVIDIA卡的DRIVER效能暫時較AMD卡稍好，不過如果以780G來講，UBUNTU上應用3D桌面完全勝任，而且基本可以無障礙運行，在BOIS內將核心頻率由500升至700都完全無問題，當然這樣就要注意顯示核心的散熬問題，否則有機會會HANG
2. GOS基於UBUNTU7.10，如要嘗新，建議安裝UBUNTU8.10
3. 如以你想配3250配780G，基本可以認定你不會用UBUNTU打機，因此這個組合完全無問題。如要安裝UBUNTU，建議安裝AMD64，既可以安裝64BIT軟件，也可以安裝32BIT軟件，而且64BIT是大趨勢，日後不用再由32BIT轉64BIT

AMD噶catalyst 9.1系smplayer放VIDEO咁最大化会成部机crash左...我個驱动系系rpmfusion到装噶，应该同maintainer关系不大。
雖然放VIDEO唔闪啦，但系D player會有問題，個畫面又好似怪怪地咁。
但系NV個2D performance又好似慢果頭...系，買咩你要林過喇
