Lenovo Y700 display problem

Hi

Bought a Lenovo Y700 from PDD a few weeks ago. Lenovo Y700.jpg

Yesterday, it booted with half the display covered in artifact.

Touch screen did not work.

Strangely, the artifact slowly disappeared and the screen returned to normal. I flashed the NEC ROM (again) using Lenovo RSA.

However, after using it for 15 min, the same half-screen artifact has returned. Touch screen no longer works.

Has any CHing come across a similar situation?

Could it be a loose ribbon connecting the display, or could it be a hardware defect (digitiser, motherboard, etc)?

As you can see, I've flashed the NEC ROM. The warranty has presumably been voided.

1   If it is a loose ribbon, I might take a chance to open the case and fix it myself. Never open up a phone or tablet before...

2   If it's a hardware defect, tricky...

Any suggestion or feedback welcome, incl. a shop in HK which does Lenovo tablet repair (not Lenovo HK).

I remember a CHing saying sending back a tablet may be problematic with mainland customs due to the battery issue.

Hope to learn what the problem is likely to be: loose ribbon or actual hardware defect.

Y700 parts are not difficult to source, but it seems unlikely a local repair shop will keep them.

Finding a good repair shop will not be easy...

TB百億有2年保, 樓主雖然係PDD, 但可試下找聯想先

跟據百億買家COMMENT 可以係返修機 仲要唔係官方返修機
入面有人講盒上序號同機身一樣都無用 去到維修都係話你知係2手拆機唔受理保用
仲有唔少人証明話唔係全新機
未見到有人講話維修成功 不過一般情況就算成功都唔會特別上去留言

8樓CHING講得好 保養期內有事一定先搵官方保養 其他都係次選
樓主你個情況
正解應該係先搵睇下有無單據 (有單但官方唔受保 你可以去投訴返買家 但百億好似唔會出單)
無就直接去官方
官方唔受保再去第三方維修

題外話
其實TB幾特別, 睇買家有買幾多, 係什麼級別
你CAP左圖, 佢講有保, 你就贏左一半先, TB官方買貨不用發票, 因為官方買就已經叫係單, 國家要佢保你(官方), 所以到今日TB/JD 官方 既Y700仲要$22XX

我仍建議樓主先問賣方, 佢保證左正貨+有保, 你CAP圖先, 再去聯想, 聯想唔修, 你就投訴賣家, 之後睇自己有無時間同佢磨, 有既, 你多數都賠到少少
BTW, Y700一代二代都有不少死屏情況, 我之前都有發文問其他CHING, 不過有幾位都話無事
