Do it as your own risk..
You need to unlock the bootloader, and then flash the custom recovery image.
1. unlock the bootloader

3. flash the custom CyanogenMod image for nexus one ( recommend to do a Nandroid image of stock image)

Cyanogen's image is very good. I follow up when he released the 1st G1 image.

Nexus one has qwerty input??? It doesn't got flash image as Cyanogen as google forced him to not include paid app on his image. You can get the update.zip for another post and flash it back.

Nandroid backup after you flash the recovery image. it will create an image for the whole system backup.

Do I still have to reinstall every downloaded program even if I backuped the data..? Sorry for the questions.. coz it'd take me tons of time for download/install everything..

yes. if you restore the image, you will restore everything back to the moment that you take the image.
It is the 1st time that required to install the paid app again to the system. if you upgrade from an existing cyanogen image, it will automatically backup and restore the image.

I wipe out all from recovery
Then flash this rom and start from beginning
Of course u need unlocked and with recovery software in your N1
Don't try it if u worry abt warranty
But it is fun to have cook rom for smart phone and android is open source too.

No. 沒有, 還是 2.6.29.6-cyanogenmod 。 2.32 好像不大穩定的樣子?

裝了新 kernel.. 2.6.32.. 多了很多 free memory.. but 1) 現在用 USB cable 連接電腦時沒有了 Notification.. ! 沒有了 mount/unmount 的標示..

In fact I flashed back to Beta 2 with 2.6.29 + mem hack yesterday. The problem gone. And just now after seeing your post, I upgraded to Beta 3... Woow..! successfully. :-)
