A few days ago, Microsoft released a new cumulative update for Windows 10. The KB4579311 update was supposed to fix a range of issues with the operating system including various security problem, but — once again – this update is proving problematic for many people.
The problems that have been reported range from failed installation with a 0x800f0988, 0x80073701 or 0x8007000d error code, to black screens, printing issues, to not being able to log into Windows 10.
As reported by TechDows, there are various reports from disgruntled users on Microsoft’s support forums. In the case of failed installations, there are reports of Windows displaying one of two different error messages. The first reads: “Some update files are missing or having problems. We’ll try to download the update again later”. The second error message reads: “There were some problems in installing the Updates, but we’ll try again later”.
While most reports relating to these error messages come from people who have obtained KB4579311 from Windows Update, but it appears that downloading from the Microsoft Update Catalog is equally problematic.
But there are issues even for some of those people that have been able to get the update installed. Some report issues logging into Window, while others complain about black screens at startup. Other reported problems include issues with printers and HDMI ports. In these instances, uninstalling KB4579311 fixes things.

I installed over 100 PC with W10, so far so good!
But, the KB4579311 is the first update I meet error during update, problem still remains, not solve yet

2004装完10 cum. patch後，reboot 3次死機後，10仔Auto Recovery uninstall 個它後沒事正常返

Different config from 2016-2020, the eldest one are Q45/Q9450, the latest one is Ryzen 3xxx and Intel i7-9xxx
