用開Q想轉S
但等咗一排無聲氣
今日走咗去買Q記4 Bay 453B Mini
4 bay 新機嚟講算平價 (唔駛4K)
有8GB RAM 玩VM (不過無乜機會會用)
Transcode 唔駛好似S記低階model咁要set RAM

I was using TS251C.  Wanted to switch to another brand/model.  And my selection criteria:
- An extremely stable OS that supports snapshot
- Screw-less hard drive tray (盡量唔想用需要上螺絲果種)*
- x86 64bit cpu
- A good set of mobile app
- HDMI output is nice to have but I would rarely using it (可有可冇)

Initial target was 251A, at the end, bought the 216+II (not expensive).  The DSM is really nice, system functions are well organized, and it only needs 2 mins to boot up.  BTRFS snapshot (my machine has only 1GB ram**) is a useful versioning feature.

Good price! And the hardware spec is quite good.  Q is always the king as far as hardware spec is concerned.

其實我只係用嚟做backup
仲要唔開機唔係定時做
因為家陣只需要backup相
屋企部電腦好日唔開

帶住小朋友
無反(E-PL7，當時除咗P記，最細係佢)都唔方便
去旅行都冇帶去
(舊年掉低個仔去歐洲可以影下相，
第二次個仔未識行，放響BB車都仲可以拎部機出嚟影吓，
之後兩次去旅行，個仔已經識行識走，慢少少都唔知佢走咗去邊，冇時間影相了)
平時用手機sync 上 Google drive / iCloud 算
都唔駛點backup
只係身痕
想退部舊機出嚟24 * 7 長開錄IP Cam

如果以年份為出機型號計，今年應該要出DS217J、217play、217+，不過五月都黎緊，仍然冇任何風聲....

尋晚終於開咗部453B Mini
掉咗兩隻舊2TB落去
發現同自己隻舊269H / 上次買咗即放嘅TS-228差好遠

269H / 228都只係有basic functions
453B Mini多好多嘢玩
不過用唔用得著
對我嚟講就真係未必喇

最麻煩係storage
因為係試機
所以全部default行thick vol，著埋Snapshot etc
2TB得返八百幾GB
試完機會剷晒再裝過

Wow, that's for sure!  453B Mini is running the Apollo Lake Celeron J3455!  269H (2G ram has an edge at the time) is using some kind of obsoleted atom (ppl called them a kind of incomplete specie).  And not to mention the arm cpu in 228 which is so so weak.  "一分錢一分貨" is always true.  Otherwise who will buy those i3/i5/i7 NASes ... if they're more or less the same as things like Celeron, Pentium, etc.
