Also could be the problem of the headphone itself. If it's the problem of the headphone, usually only one side of the driver unit has "拆聲" but not often for both driver units.

可能係耳机本身的單元有問題, 但多數單邊有事, 較小同時兩邊發生!
Don't recommend Philip's IEM ($200-300 range), coz poor sound & poor QC from my experience.

Denon C351 good bass, I used before. Now I'm using C452 better thab C351 but needs $5xx.

Forget it 9700, the worst IEM from my experience. Even many China original brand win it "a street" distance. Also, don't mention it's official retail price $3xx !!

If you like "Extreme" bass but don't like Chinese brand, take a try on "KOSS" brand.
It's foreign brand but MIC product as well.....

You said before both the iPod & W850 have the same problem ?
You'd better A-B test yourself,
1) same song, same earphone but different player
2) same song, same player but different earphone
3) same earphone, same player but different song.
From my experience of several iPod products don't have your problem.
