我部3300壞咗,我用3.5吋外置硬碟,想攞番入面嘅影片,但係部電腦無辦法認到個硬盤,請問應該點做

你可能當初 format 咗做 Linux 格式，Windows 本身係讀唔到的

可否介紹下 magic tv 有乜平靚正的火牛?早兩個月在淘佬拍左隻電腦筆記本個種火牛,諗住好襟用,點知上個星期左右就突然無電,原來個火牛瓜左,所以搵緊替代品

之前在觀塘廣場買了 Winstar UP50 火牛，好像解決了間中無故要重啟的問題，不過之前有人指這款火牛用料不佳，難道遲些要去新昌買過另一隻？

3300D 其實識認 NTFS format 的 HDD. 樓主下次都係用番 NTFS format 最好, support 4GB+ files 又方便抄過 Windows PC.

    Winstar 出名質量差, 無牌子果啲可能仲好過佢, 幾年前選擇月刊測試火牛, 都插到佢一棟都無, 多年前無知都買過佢啲牛, 熱到蛋都煎得熟, 用無耐就壞咗, 以後唔敢買佢啲嘢

My 3800D is almost 6 years old, so far so good (touch wood )!  However, it's unable to recognize an external hdd (only 2TB) if the format is NTFS.  I got no choice but using the magic tv built-in function to format it to ext2*

*
1. Why ext2 ??  At least the firmware should make it an ext3, right !
2. As I remember, previously 3800D was able to recognize an external hdd in NTFS format.   Such feature no longer works after several firmware version updates (it seems) .  Now the version is 11.8beta3.

冇理由喎. 我部 3300D 現時用緊一隻 4TB, 一隻 10TB 3.5" USB 3.0 HDD,  都係用 NTFS.

3800D 和 3300D 應是同一代產物, firmware 一樣的.

唔 sure, 但應該係最新版本, online 都冇新 firmware update 好耐啦.

等我番屋企 check 下, 大不了 downgrade 番落去.

11.7 is production version and 11.8beta3 is beta version.  Please check it when you have time, tks.

May be I should opt out beta version  .... now it's too late

NTFS support has not been changed.  It's still the same.  To verify this, please find a USB thumb drive, quick format it in Windows, and test recognition of it with your Magic TV.  If it is not recognized even after rebooting the Magic TV, let me know.

For the NTFS USB HDD that could not be mounted, please perform check disk in Windows.

ext3: If you use Linux to format a USB HDD as ext3, it will also work with Magic TV.

The "beta" firmware you're running is the same as the production firmware for new units of MTV8000D, but with the "beta" designation removed.

以效能計, ext2 >= ext4 >> ext3

Devices in NTFS:
1. SanDisk Extreme PRO SD UHS-II Card Reader with Samsung EVO Plus microSD 128GB
2. Transcend 25H3 2TB portable hdd
3. HGST 3.5" 2TB + UNITEK Y-1039 with A/C power supply

Device 1
3800D is able to recognize it

Device 2
Previously did a full format in Win 10, no error at all.  It cannot be recognized by 3800D.  Now it's empty and not-in-use.  

Device 3
Previously did a full format in Win 10, no error at all.  As it cannot be recognized by 3800D, it was being formatted using 11.8beta3.  It's now fully (almost) loaded with recordings.

我估你3800D認唔到既原因, 唔關device事, 而係你用錯左GPT
Magic TV只認MBR, 唔認GPT Layout

I tested MTV3800D 11.8beta3 with a Seagate (not a recommendation) Backup Plus Portable 5TB NTFS.  It is identified in Magic TV as (5TB)BUPPortable, and recording and playback works normally for me.

It was probably Seagate factory NTFS format instead of manual format by Windows, with 1 GPT partition.

3800D downgraded (or upgraded) from 11.8beta3 to 11.7, it looks normal

ps. got no choice but continue to use the existing HGST 3.5" 2TB (in ext2 format)

ic, 11.7 is good then
