用咗成年發現成日錄有線節目都會錄錯台，就連半夜全屋瞓晒覺時錄嘢都會錄錯台，但我試過個 mtv8000d 紅外線發射器係可以控制個有線解碼器，唔係因為轉唔到台而錄錯嘢。

後來發現，原來係個 MTV8000D 唔去轉台，例如依家 mtv 係 12 台， 預錄 1 小時後 12 台一個節目，但有家人用有線搖控直接轉咗去其他台，咁部 mtv 因為仲以為係 12 台，佢就唔會錄影前控制有線轉去 12 台，變成錄咗第二個台嘅節目。

其實 MTV 有無考慮依個一般情況呢？

其實解決辦法好簡單，就係就算預錄個節目同依家 MTV 台號係一樣，如果個台號係屬於有線或
now, 都硬性要相應嘅解碼器轉一轉台就得了

聲明在先，未用過 MTV 的機，純靠估。

MTV 最多可預校幾多個錄影？
一定係半夜企人瞓覺後錄影？

試下預校多一個錄影節目當係買個保險，例如真正想在半夜 0300 錄 12 台，試下在這時間之前再額外預校錄影另一個台(eg. 0250 錄影 22 台 5 分鐘)。就算部 MTV 本來當有線係 22 台(但有線實際不是 22 台)，MTV 無在 0250 時去轉有線 22 台，這個額外的預校錄影就算係錄錯台都無所謂，但起碼 0250 時部 MTV 會當有線係 22 台，並非 0300 要錄的 12 台，到了 0300，部 MTV 知道個台號不同就會轉台。

佢可預校幾多個節目我又無認真試過，但我又覺得同今次問題關係不大。
唔係一定要半夜先錄，只係想話全程無人轉台情況下都會錄錯台。錄錯台原因就是mtv 個有線台號與當時有線解碼器嘅台號不一致，兼且下一個預校錄影又同依家 MTV 個台又一樣

當然，依家知佢有咁嘅問題，就要用個 dummy 嘅預校錄影去迫佢轉台了，但此舉動十分唔 user friendly，而且唔應該視為長遠解決方案

若然錄緊而轉台就當然係自己問題，但 mtv 不能限制用家用有線搖控器去就個錄影機，唔通係 mtv 錄緊嘢嘅時候想睇有線，用家都要用 mtv 個搖控去轉有線的台嗎？

若然 MTV8000D 正在錄影 nowTV 0既節目, 而又想睇 now 的節目, 是不是還可用 MTV8000D  遙控去轉 nowTV 的台?

如錄緊now621時，又想睇622绝對吾得！但你用原装搖控器轉台，錄緊621節目會變左錄622。

其實類似問題我都發生過好多次。我都係用8000D，駁NOW。我set左長期自動錄某個NOW台的一個時段。但個NOW解碼器有時唔知乜原因會自動reset。reset後就變左做106台。但MTV唔知，無幫我轉啱台。結果幾日後先知錄唔到。

That's the point!
MTV 好多情況下係無辦法知道個 nowTV 及有線解碼器最後停留0左係邊個台, 更惶論假設自己記住個nowTV 或有線台係一定同解碼器0既台號係同步.

所以最徹底0既解決方法就係無論自己台號係咩0野, 總之個台在外接解碼器自時, 預錄前都轉一轉台, 咁就一定萬無一失.

再再再重申, 我知道錄影中途就走轉台而攪到錄錯台, 責任不在 MTV 一方, 而係用家自己手多, 又或者個解碼器自己 short 0左, 依個亦不是依個 post 想帶出0既問題.

For MTV8000D, yes.

If only digital TV is being recorded, you can switch to now TV via MTV8000D using Magic TV remote as usual.  The background digital TV recording is not affected.

If another HDMI input such as cable TV is being recorded, you can still switch to now TV via Magic TV remote because MTV8000D will use its built-in HDMI switch.  The background cable TV recording is not affected.

This firmware will perform a channel switch for every now TV or cable TV recording:

To workaround the problem you have, this firmware has the side effect of performing a channel switch even if you're already watching it normally.

This firmware is not recommended for users not having this problem.

At this time I cannot say this temporary modification will carry over to future firmware.  This needs further consideration due to the side effect - for users not facing the problem of now TV switches itself to a different channel due to uncontrollable factors, they'd see an extra unnecessary channel switching occurring on screen.

非常感謝wklie幫忙。如hotblood所說，可以保留這個設定就非常好。為了保証一定可以錄到正確的台號，這個side effect 實在無可厚非。

Either way is fine.  For VCR, connect the composite output (yellow) and audio output (white/red) to the MTV7000D-mini composite input.

I connect via Input 3 using S-Video (VCR is S-VHS)
Problem is, MTV cannot pick up signals from the VCR's menu screen and the picture becomes garbled
When playing back tapes, the signal seems normal (if not 100% OK, also some delay) but as long as the machine is stopped, I get the same problem

The recorded signals seem OK but I wouldn't call it stellar
My intention is to have a setup that lets me digitise VHS tape content into good quality files, but unfortunately I've run into the aforementioned issue

Was told by CS to bring in the VCR for their testing but so far I cannot arrange for time
This already has been delayed for a year or two already...
Maybe I'll do it shortly after Xmas

If your VCR system can be set to NTSC or PAL, please try both settings.

Please try Composite instead of S-Video, and unplug everything else from the VCR.

S-Video and Composite should not be connected at the same time, for both VCR and MTV7000D-mini.

Dun think I can set VCR to PAL/NTSC, it's probably auto-detect (depending on tape signal)
I only plug either composite or S-Video, mostly with the latter...
Same result
