AMD AM3 CPU supports both DDR2 and DDR3

We have benchmarked the AM2 Phenom II X4 940 processor and we know these processors will be out very soon. At the mean time, AMD is preparing their AM3 products. From what we gathered, AM3 processor Phenom II X4 945 looks just like the Phenom II X4 940. Both clocks at 3.0GHz.

The major difference between the two is that, the AM3 processor comes with DDR2 and DDR3 memory controller. Thus the processor can be used on AM2 or AM3 boards (AM3 boards will support DDR3 modules). Both processors has 512K L2, 6MB L3.

其實K10 (Barcelona / Agena) 已經有DDR-2 + DDR-3 memory controller, 只係而家先activate

其實如果用DDR3 唔係快好多
用返DDR2 好過
